The controlled flaring operations conducted in response to the propane leak incident on Highway 1A between Lochend Road and Woodland Road have been completed.
Emergency crews confirmed the process was finished as of 7:00 a.m. Saturday. The road was closed overnight on Friday.
All safety checks were completed, and affected residents were cleared to return home by 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Highway 1A has fully reopened in both directions, and the RCMP confirms that the roadway is now clear.
Emergency crews have been released from the scene, and the Bearspaw Lions Club reception centre has closed.
