"I don't feel valued": Weyburn healthcare worker speaks out on AIMS fallout
While the Saskatchewan Health Authority is continuing the rollout of AIMS or the Administrative Information Management System, employees with the SHA are still voicing their concerns with the new software intended to streamline several systems in use throughout the province.
The biggest issue that cropped up was an issue with pay, something that staff noticed immediately as some employees were short by upwards of $1,000 or more on their paychecks.
Election details, approvals for tonight's meeting of Weyburn City Council
The only Weyburn City Council meeting for August will be held tonight in Council Chambers at 6 p.m.
In addition to approval of accounts payable and audited financial statements, Council will vote on an RFP recommendation to award a contractor for the King Street Road Reconstruction & Rehabilitation Design, an RFP for the Construction of Equalization Lagoon Infrastructure Upgrades, and an RFP for the combined Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC) Feed System and Ammonia Modification project at the Water Treatment Plant.

Jasper's mayor says date when evacuees can return home will be announced Monday
Jasper's mayor says wildfire evacuees will learn Monday when they will be allowed to return home.
Richard Ireland told an online news conference on Saturday that details on the exact time of the announcement haven't been finalized, but news on the date when people will be permitted back into the town will be delivered by members of the unified command on Monday.
About 20,000 visitors to Jasper National Park and 5,000 town residents were forced out last month due to fires, and flames destroyed one-third of the town's buildings.

ICYMI: Special Olympics Weyburn needs board members, volunteers
Special Olympics Weyburn (S.O.W.) recently put out a call for a new influx of board members, as well as volunteers.
Community Manager Joanne Paxman said they need program coordinators, a treasurer, and a marketing and publicity person, who would also handle their social media accounts.
"They don't have to have been involved with Special Olympics at all, or have any knowledge," she explained. "It's just filling positions on the board."
'Bold and brilliant:' Loved ones remember firefighter killed fighting Jasper blaze
The Alberta wildland firefighter killed while battling a blaze in Jasper National Park last weekend is being remembered for his bold personality and sense of humour.
Alberta Wildfire spokeswoman Melissa Story confirmed in an email Friday that family, friends and colleagues are mourning Morgan Kitchen.
A memorial post circulating on social media says Kitchen, who was 24 and lived in Calgary, had a “bold and brilliant” personality, a nimble wit and an “outrageous and ridiculous” sense of humour.
