Dealing with a shortened bench for their road trip to Flin Flon, the Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings would fall 5-3 to the Bombers in the second game in as many nights. The Wings would rally to keep things close but were unable to score the game-tying goal in the third period, with an empty-netter with six seconds sealing the deal for Flin Flon.

For the first time since the start of the new year, the Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings have lost two consecutive games in regulation. Friday night, in the first of two games in two nights at the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon, the Wings dropped a 4-3 decision to the Bombers, after rallying to tie the game 3-3 after initially being down 3-0.

Red Wings come up short in Wilcox
After picking up a win over the Notre Dame Hounds Friday night, the Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings were looking to keep the momentum going when the Yorkton Terriers came to town Saturday. For that match-up, it was essentially do-or-die for the Terriers, as a loss would see them all but be eliminated from playoff contention. Then the Red Wings would head out on the road Monday night as they travelled to Wilcox for a rematch with the Notre Dame Hounds, who continue to look for every point they can to try to secure a playoff spot.

The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings are set for a busy weekend, with three games in four nights. The three games will also carry a lot of playoff implications, with two of the games against the Notre Dame Hounds, who are seven points back of the Red Wings for the eighth and final playoff spot in the SJHL.
Wings put Terriers in doghouse
The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings jumped out to a big, early lead against the Yorkton Terriers Tuesday night. Weyburn would need to hold on, though, as the Terriers rallied back to make it close. The Wings managed to stave off the flurry of offense late in the game from Yorkton and picked up a 7-5 win.
Hawks end Wings streak in tight-checking game
All good things eventually come to an end, and that was the case for the Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings. Saturday night, they dropped a 2-0 decision to the Nipawin Hawks at Crescent Point Place. The loss was the first in regulation for the Red Wings since January 13th and ended a nine-game point streak for the Wings.
The game Saturday saw the Red Wings pepper former Weyburn netminder Jackson Fellner with 34 shots. Fellner turned them all aside as he earned his second shutout of the season.
Red Wings look to catch Nipawin in showdown with Hawks
The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings will be looking to catch up with 7th place in the SJHL standings as they host the team that currently occupies that spot, the Nipawin Hawks, at Crescent Point Place tonight. The Wings come into the game with two games in hand on the Hawks and are just three points back in 8th place. A win tonight pull the Red Wing within a point of the Hawks, who lost 2-1 in overtime to the Estevan Bruins last night.
Wings extend point streak to league-leading nine games
The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings have now won seven of their last ten games, and have picked up points in nine straight, as they skated to a 4-1 win over the Flin Flon Bombers Thursday night. The win also put the Red Wings at .500, the first time since the 2017-18 season the club has been above .500 after December.
The win also moved the Red Wings within two points of the Nipawin Hawks for 7th place, and within six points of the Estevan Bruins for 6th place in the standings.
