Rina Huel

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rina Huel, who left us on Saturday, September 9th, in the comforting presence of her cherished son, Roland. Rina is now reunited with her beloved husband, Rene, who preceded her in death in 2011. She also joins her parents, Joseph and Yvette Arguin, sister Diane Dunlop, brothers Yvan and Sylvio Arguin, and numerous other departed relatives.

Elizabeth ( Beth ) Pickering

Pickering, Beth 

Wife. Mother. Grandma. Daughter. Sister. Friend. Teacher.  Beth was all of these and so much more.  Elizabeth was born to Gerry and Fred Nash, in 1959 in Moose Jaw, where she grew up.  Following her passion, she attended the University of Saskatchewan where she received her teaching degree. 

Teaching was truly her calling and passion, having taught mostly Kindergarten for 37 years.  She was also a devoted mother and wife, with her sons Jonathan and Christopher and her husband Richard being her constant priority and joy.

Lorrie Gale Hildebrand

Lorrie Gale Hildebrand passed away peacefully October 22nd, 2022, at Regina Pasqua Hospital.

She was predeceased by her parents Dale and Ellen Johnston.

Lorrie leaves behind the loves of her life, husband Ed, son Davin (Courtney) Hildebrand and grandchildren Kenzi, Carys and Atley.

She is further survived by her sibling’s, Jeanne Johnston, Debra Johnston (John Steacie), Don Johnston (Cathy) and Terry Johnston (Peter Whittacker) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Elvina Doreen Finlay

On October 20, 1931, Elvina Doreen was born on the family farm at Aneroid, Saskatchewan, to Peter and Elva Gammie. She grew up with her only sibling, Dorothy. She attended Quimper School. Elvina worked in Aneroid in the local restaurant and then the Royal Bank. She married Richard Finlay of Vanguard, Saskatchewan, and together they raised their two daughters, Gale and Sharon. Elvina returned to school in 1973 and obtained her hair dressing certificate. After Richard’s death, she worked at Chez Nous in Moose Jaw for 20 years.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Knarr at the Central Butte Regency Manor with his family by his side. We would like to say a special thank you to the compassionate staff at the Regency Manor. Their incredible care and concern will not be forgotten.

Mary Forman

It is with great sadness the family of Mary Forman announce her passing. Mary passed away peacefully at Couteau Range Manor in Avonlea on Sept 4th, 2022, four days short of her 99th birthday.  Mary was born to Peter and Julia Randell near Bayard, Saskatchewan on September 8, 1923. She was the fourth oldest of a family of eight. She was predeceased by her husband Carl; her brothers Kasper and Jacob; her sisters Hilda (Schick), Elsie (Schick), Eileen (Weir), Victoria (Thiele) and Alice (Ionel); daughter-in-law Nicki; and good friend Don Walz.
