The Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week is Noah Van Steenis!

18-year-old defense Van Steenis is playing in his first year with the Wheatland Kings but has been playing hockey for 13 years.

Recently graduated from St. Gabriel the Archangel School in Chestermere, Van Steenis is currently pursuing the path to become a pilot.

He is working at The Calgary International Airport for a small air charter company and will be attending Spring Bank Air Training College for his commercial pilot license.

Adam Hakim is the Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week

Centre Adam Hakim is your Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week.

Hakim, just 18 years old, is playing his first year with the Kings.

“I learned to skate before I knew how to walk, so I have been playing hockey as early as I could."

He was born in Calgary but moved to Chestermere when he was four years old and has been living there since.

Cole Walker is the Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week

Your Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week is forward Cole Walker. 

This is Walker's third year on the Kings and in that time he was playing defense but this year he is trying his hand at being a forward. 

"This is my overage year on the Kings. I have been playing hockey since I was about 7 or 8, so it is a passion of mine."

When Walker isn't playing on the Kings, he attends the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) obtaining his heavy-duty mechanic diploma. 

Your Strathmore Motor Product King of the Week is Kyle Provencher

Defenseman Kyle Provencher is the Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week.

Provencher has two goals and seven assists in 16 games so far this season. 

"I love playing for the Kings, it's amazing. I love the organization. The teammates are really good on and off the ice," expressed Provencher. 

He's been playing hockey since he was five years old. 

"My dad wanted me to get into the sport, then growing up, I started to realize that it's a great experience." 

Corey Ross is your Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week

Goalie Corey Ross is the Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week. 

This is Ross' first year with the Kings -- before that, he was playing junior hockey up north. 

His record is 3-3-2 with a .906 save percentage. 

"I have been playing hockey since I was eight years old. My love for the sport started because my grandmother and dad were goalies. It just captured me," said Ross.  

Ross believes he's a good teammate. 

Brandon McGillivray is the Strathmore Motor Products Kings of the Week

Brandon McGillivray is your Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week.

The Wheatland Kings centre has three goals and three assists in 13 games so far this season. 

McGillivray's had him on skates at the age of five and the rest is history. 

"I've been playing hockey since Timbit but this isn't something that I want to take professionally." 

McGillivray was raised in a big sports family with a sister who played volleyball and a dad who was a snowboarder and skater. 

Chase Tweit is your Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week

Defenseman Chase Tweit is the Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week. 

Originally from Langdon and wearing number five for the Wheatland Kings, this is Tweit's second year playing for the team.

Tweit comes from a sports-orientated family, who play lacrosse when they aren't on the ice. 

"All my brothers played hockey. When hockey's not in, we all are in for the lacrosse season."

Tweit has been on skates for around 12 years and knows where he needs to improve.

Kage Yellowfly is the Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week!

This week's Strathmore Motor Product's King of the Week is Kage Yellowfly!

The three-year veteran currently leads the team in points with 29, even though he missed an extended period of time. He made his recent return at the start of the new year and said it's been great finally being back on the ice after coming back from injury, "It's surreal, I was itching to get back out there."

Carter Gosling is the Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week!

Rookie forward Carter Gosling is this week's Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week! 

Gosling says that being a rookie makes him always excited to go to practice with the atmosphere of it all being unbelievable, with that being said Gosling will definitely try to go for another year with the Kings.  

Brandon McGillivary is the Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week!

Rookie forward Brandon McGillivary is this week's Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week! Growing up in Chestermere, McGillivary played for the Chiefs and the Warriors in Strathmore and AA hockey in Chestermere.  

McGillivary says playing with some high-end guys this season has definitely upped his own game as well.
