Eric Castro is the Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week!

Rookie forward Eric Castro is this week's Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week! Before joining the Kings in Strathmore, Castro played for the Chiefs in Strathmore.

Castro says one of his successes in his young Kings career has been playing at a fast pace and never slowing down.

"Just move my feet every game, keep them going, stay into the game, don't let my feet stop moving," he said.

Veteran goalie Landen Brassard is your Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week

This weeks Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week is veteran goalie Landen Brassard. 

Brassard, who was born and raised in Strathmore, is in his fourth and final year with the Wheatland Kings. Heading into his final season Brassard is looking to have fun and enjoy the time he has left with the team, while also passing along what he has learned to rookie goaltender Rhett Harten, 

"He's pretty much already got it all down, but more or less practice, he's got everything pretty focused up now though, so long as he's focused and practiced he has got it handled."

Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week is goaltender Rhett Harten

The Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week is rookie goaltender 18-year-old Rhett Harten from Indus.

The Wheatland Kings have gotten back into the win column and are on a three-game win streak thanks in part to a great performance on Sunday in Coaldale by Rhett Harten getting his third win of the year, he faced 30 shots, overtime, and a shoot out to help secure the win for his team. 

Wheatland Kings are on a roll

The Wheatland Kings were back on the ice on Sunday in Coaldale as they took on the Copperheads. As the Kings made it three wins in a row coach Doug Raycroft was happy with the result.

"It was a pretty hard fought game a lot of back and forth and a very physical game, our goaltending was great Rhett Harten played an excellent game for us."

Raycroft said the team is feeling good after getting their third win in a row but says there is still a lot of work to be done.

Chase Berg is your Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week!

Wheatland Kings defensemen Chase Berg from Chestermere is this week's Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week. 

Chase's first year on the team has certainly come with some growing pains over the first few games of the season, but the team has turned things around to start November. 

"We took a lot of penalties on our losing streak and that started to change, and also the coaching change helped us really steer in the right direction."

Joel Romano is your Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week!

This week's Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week Highlights Chestermere's Joel Romano.

On a young Wheatland Kings team with many rookies, second year player Joel Romano finds himself being one of the veterans of the team, despite only being a year removed from being a rookie himself! Well into his second season, Romano feels the extra experience has helped out a lot.

Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week - Nathon Feick

Nathon Feick is your Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week and he is coming off of a great game on Tuesday night in Game 1 of the playoffs against High River where the Kings took the win 5-1.

It was a big night for the rookie scoring his first goal of the playoffs, “We were trying to get some points and we couldn't and then the third period came around and we finally got some. Getting that first goal in the playoffs. it always feels great, but in the playoffs, you know it's extra special.”
