It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Doreen Donison at Dr. F. H. Wigmore Hospital on October 3, 2024 after a brief but rapid decline in her health.
Jordan James Rudolph Beck
Jordan James Rudolph Beck (Jordy, JJ, JB, Beck, Jables) was born February 29, 1996, and passed suddenly on October 3, 2024, at the age of 28 or 7-we often joked he looked young for a 28-year-old or old for a 7 year old.
Ann Perras
Its with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Ann Perras. She passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, at the age of 89, at Pioneer Lodge in Moose Jaw.
Ann was born on the family farm near Lady Lake, SK. on February 4, 1935, to Onufrey and Veronica (Soyko) Leason, the sixth of eight children. Her early childhood was spent on the homestead, with Sunny Brae school being a two mile walk across the prairie. The farmhouse was moved to the town of Preeceville in 1950 and she continued her schooling there graduating in 1953.
Lila Winnifred Anderson
Lila Winnifred Anderson passed away peacefully April 11, 2024 at the age of 94 in Moose Jaw.
She was the daughter of Sherman and Eleanor Tremere and sister to Hilson. She grew up on their homestead at Ormiston. Lila attended Curry School there, and was promoted to Grade 2 on her very first day of school because she already knew how to read. She had to go to Crane Valley to finish grade 11 and 12, and decided from there to pursue a teaching career by enrolling in Normal School in Moose Jaw.
Dianne Jonat
On the 10th January 2024 my wife Dianne Jonat passed away in Pioneer Lodge with friends and family by her side. She was 65 years old.
Dianne was pre-deceased by her father, brother, and mother, all from Mount Pearl NL and is survived by me, Joe, her husband of 41 years, her son Adam, numerous relatives throughout the east coast of Canada and Newfoundland and by many close friends and neighbours in Moose Jaw and Regina.
May Belle McIntyre
May Belle McIntyre of Burnaby, BC passed away on January 26, 2024. She is predeceased by her parents and brother Cecil McIntyre. She will be sadly missed by her siblings Joan Campbell, Gloria Ramage and Cyril (Maria) McIntrye as well as sister-in-law Pat McIntyre. A Come and Go memorial tea will be held on Friday, May 24th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at W. J. Jones and Son Reception Hall, 474 Hochelaga St W., Moose Jaw. Flowers graciously declined. For those so wishing memorial donations may be made to charity of choice. In living memory of May Bell, a memorial planting will be made by W.J.
Ernest John Kattler
The family of Ernest John Kattler is saddened to announce his passing on October 23, 2023, in Moose Jaw, SK at the age of 97.
Ernest was born on October 26, 1925, in Pilot Butte, SK but moved to a farm near Odessa, SK where he grew up. He attended Niederland School district. Ernest was an electrician as well as an electrical inspector. Ernest married Irene in 1954 and when she passed away in 1980, he remarried in 1987 to Lillian.
Joyce Gurnsey
Joyce was born in Carberry, Manitoba on January 7, 1936. She passed away peacefully at F. H. Wigmore Hospital in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan with her family by her side on December 16, 2022.
A Celebration of Joyce’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Andrews United Church, 60 Athabasca St, E., Moose Jaw, SK. Pastor Doug Shepherd will officiate. The interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery.
