Hockey and harmony: Singer puts a playoff spin on her track
Central Butte recording artist Corinne Newton has released a Stanley Cup-themed parody of her song Next Year Country, originally released last year. A proud Oilers fan, Newton was inspired by a conversation with a friend to add a special verse dedicated to the Edmonton Oilers — and Canadian NHL teams as a whole. You can check out the video HERE.

Fast cars, family fun, and a dirt track built by community
The roar of engines, the smell of dirt, and the excitement of side-by-side racing return to the Pembina Valley tonight and Saturday as Dead Horse Creek Speedway hosts two nights of thrilling dirt track action.
Races start at 7:00 p.m. Friday (June 20) and 6:00 p.m. Saturday (June 21), with food trucks, family fun, and a pit full of cars ready to battle it out on the west-of-Morden oval.

The 2025 CanAm Bowl taking place July 1 in Rosetown is a great option, a 7:00 PM kickoff under the lights offering a great game on the field, and then a firework finale afterwards to light up the night sky above the field.
Even better, you can get in for free courtesy the set of 10 tickets we have at the station supplied by Rosetown Royals football coach Mitch Wintonyk. Regular admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-18, free for any kids under 6 years old.
Helicopter landing and family fun planned in St. François Xavier
A family-focused event hosted by the St. François Xavier Community Club is set to return Saturday, June 21, with highlights that include a helicopter flyby and landing, a variety of emergency and farm vehicles for children to explore, and a barbecue hosted by the local reeve.

The end of the school year is fast approaching, and that means it's time to draw our GRAND PRIZE WINNER for Classroom of the Month presented by Canadian Tire!
This year, we visited ten different classrooms and treated all of them to a pizza party from Boston Pizza, and some goodies from Stranger Danger Candy Co, Old Fashion Foods, and Edge Safety and Supply!

Last Adult Jam Session before summer at WPL this Saturday
There is just one more adult jam session taking place at the Weyburn Public Library before breaking for summer - this Saturday, June 21st at 2:30 p.m., anyone who loves to sing or play an instrument can join along in the Allie Griffin Auditorium.
Song lyrics and chords are posted on a screen for everyone to follow along, and the group is open to suggestions for songs to try out. Other than the piano on site, musicians are required to bring their musical instruments, even if it's just a shaker or maracas.
