Liberals hold six-point lead over Conservatives: Leger poll
The federal Liberals are pushing further ahead of the Conservatives in voter support, and almost one in two Canadians surveyed said they think the Liberals will win the election, a new poll suggests.
The survey, conducted by Leger for The Canadian Press, reports that 44 per cent of decided voters surveyed would vote Liberal in the upcoming election, ahead of the Conservatives at 38 per cent.
The poll surveyed 1,599 Canadians between March 21 and March 23, which includes the first day of the election, and the two days leading into it.
Prairie Canola Farmers continue to navigate new Chinese tariffs
As tensions rise in ongoing trade disputes, China's latest move is adding to concerns for Canadian producers. The country recently announced a 100 per cent tariff on canola oil and meal exported from Canada, compounding the uncertainty already present due to U.S. tariffs.

Saskatchewan reverses ban of U.S. alcohol products that are produced in Canada
The Saskatchewan government is walking back part of its decision to stop purchasing all American-branded alcohol products in response to U.S. tariffs.
The province says it is allowing the sale and distribution of 54 Canadian-produced U.S. brands to resume.
Some American brands like Budweiser and Coors are produced in Canada, and the Saskatchewan government says it heard concerns that its ban was too broad.
It says the province is "realigning its approach" to be consistent with other provinces by focusing on U.S.-produced alcohol.
Music is in the air as Humboldt and District Music Festival begins
The Humboldt and District Music Festival got underway on Monday.
Piano performances will take place between Monday, March 24-Wednesday, March 26 at Westminster United Church.
Vocal, Musical Theatre, and Speech Art performances are on Thursday, March 27 at Westminster United Church.
Bands and Strings performances will take place at St. Augustine School on Monday, March 31 and Tuesday, April 1.

April 1 marks the beginning of elm tree pruning ban
It’s soon time of the year for yard clean up and deadfall removal. If that includes some limb trimming, then it’s important to remember that the ban on pruning elm trees is soon on once again in the province. The ban, in place to help stop the spread of Dutch elm disease, runs from April 1 until August 31.
Foam Lake Flyers win provincial title in overtime thriller
The Foam Lake Flyers captured the ‘C’ Provincial championship in Wilkie on Saturday.
It marked the first time the Flyers claimed a Provincial championship.
It required overtime, but the Flyers defeated the Outlaws 7-6, to win the best of three series 2-0.
Brett Peppler scored the overtime winner for Foam Lake.
Dash Reimer brings the heartbeat of language to Humboldt
Saskatchewan wordsmith Dash Reimer paid a visit to Humboldt with a couple of projects organized by the Humboldt and District Newcomer Centre. Reimer paid a visit to a group of young poets at Homebase in its new Main Street location, and then he travelled a few blocks later in the evening to the Gallery where he performed his own work and hosted an open mike night on Friday, March 21.
