The Horizon School Division has announced the results of the school board election that was held on Wednesday night.
The elected trustees are:
Subdivision 1 Pamela Wintringham* (new)
Subdivision 2 Linda Mattock (returning)
Subdivision 3 Jennifer Lemky (returning)
Lanigan Civic Election Results
The results are in from Wednesday night’s election from the town of Lanigan.
With Tony Mycock claiming the mayor position by acclimation, the election was held to determine six councillor positions as seven candidates were in the running.

Larry Jorgenson anxious to work with new city council team
Whenever an election rolls around, there's always the potential for change in the wind. Such was the case with Humboldt civic election 2024 as the votes rolled in last night. New members of council have come on board for the next 4-year term, but one of the most experienced deckhands weathered the evening well. Counci;lor Larry Jorgenson was returned to the council for another term.

Safe Communities Humboldt, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Safety Council, is holding a Mature Drivers Refresher Course on Monday, December 4 at the Humboldt Uniplex. Energy experts think Donald Trump will make tariff exemptions for Canadian oil
President-elect Donald Trump's promise to slap an across-the-board tariff of at least 10 per cent on all imports including from Canada is unlikely to apply to Canadian oil, energy experts are predicting.
The threat of the tariff is causing a lot of concern north of the border, where the Canadian Chamber of Commerce said such a tariff could take a $30-billion bite out of the Canadian economy.
Class-action alleges abuse, cultural devastation at Canadian Indigenous group homes
A proposed class-action lawsuit against the Canadian government says Indigenous people removed from their communities and placed in group homes beginning in the 1950s suffered physical, sexual and psychological abuse that "was commonplace, condoned and, arguably, encouraged."
The Federal Court lawsuit filed this month in Vancouver says Indigenous children across the country were forcibly removed from their homes and taken "to live with strangers — sometimes hundreds of kilometres from their families and Indigenous communities."
Rob Muench elected as mayor of Humboldt
For a second time, Rob Muench will be the Mayor of Humboldt.
The unofficial results from Wednesday’s Civic Election saw Muench named as the mayor-elect with 988 votes.
Andrew Breker was second with 777 votes.
Harley Bentley was third with 182 votes.
The vote count from the election will not become official until Thursday.
Shortly after the announcement of the unofficial results rolled in, Muench was quick to congratulate his competitors in the mayoral race.
