Potent storm system could bring first taste of winter to region this week
Parts of Western Manitoba had the first taste of winter on Saturday, with 5-15 centimetres of wet snow falling across parts of the region as a low pressure system pushing northward out of North Dakota brought the white blanket.

A new home for Agape Table
The date is set - Agape Table will officially break ground at their new location on Friday, Nov. 15.
The non-profit currently serves meals out of the basement of The Wave Church at 364 Furby Street in Winnipeg.
“We’re moving right beside where we are right now,” says executive director Jim Steep. “We’re at 364 Furby, but our offices are at 356 Furby, and right beside that, at 350 Furby is where the new building will be.”
Thick fog continues Thursday morning, advisories in place
Thick fog continues to cover much of southern Manitoba, with advisories first issued last night remaining in effect as of 5 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14.
Winnipeg is included in the advisory, and conditions are challenging for motorists outside the city, where visibility has been reduced to roughly two car lengths in many areas.
Environment Canada’s advisory, issued Wednesday night, lists areas affected across southern Manitoba, including Dugald, Beausejour, Grand Beach, Steinbach, St. Adolphe, and the Whiteshell region.
