POLL: Transgender students' rights and the notwithstanding clause
Debate continues over the Saskatchewan government's intention to invoke the Notwithstanding Clause to push through the Parental Bill of Rights, which would require parents' or guardians' permission for transgender or nonbinary students younger than 16 wishing to use different names or pronouns at school.
Student walkouts happened Tuesday in Regina in protest of the proposed law.

Changes coming for parking at Regina General Hospital
A new parkade on the Regina General Hospital is expected to increase the number of parking stalls by 686.
Construction is underway on the new parkade, which is being built in the northwest portion of the existing visitor lot.
Stats Canada: Saskatchewan continues to lead the nation
Saskatchewan’s wholesale trade is leading the nation according to Statistics Canada. Today’s numbers indicate the province was first in month-to-month growth in Canada for wholesale trade.
“Saskatchewan continues to have the food, fuel and fertilizer our growing world needs,” Trade and Export Development Minister Jeremy Harrison said in a release. “Wholesale trade is another key component to our thriving economy. This work allows us to continue building and protecting the province’s economic future and make us the best place to live, work and raise a family.”
Portion of Broadway closed in Monday rush hour for police investigation
A busy stretch of roadway is shut down Monday morning while police investigate a serious incident.
Not many details are available at this time, but witnesses say that police have been at the gas station on the corner of Broadway and Sherbrook St. since late Sunday night or early Monday morning.
The Winnipeg Police Service has shut down all eastbound lanes of Broadway from Sherbrook St. to Furby St.
The WPS says that commuters should plan an alternate route for the morning rush hour.
Richmound spells it out for Didulo and company with protest
The Village of Richmound has rallied its surrounding communities to come together this weekend with one message: they want Romana Didulo and her followers to leave.
Yesterday, the Village invited folks from all across southwest Saskatchewan to come to their ballpark, adjacent to the former Richmound School. There, they organized a protest to encourage Didulo and her 'Kingdom of Canada' zealots to pack up and hit the road.
