Snow coming our way after a windy Saturday night
For the most part, the Saturday portion of our long weekend was quite nice with a calm wind and a temperature near the freezing mark. That all changed in the evening when the wind picked up and the temperature dropped in a hurry. Travelers also had to deal with blowing and drifting snow along with poor visibility.
Snowy, and possibly blowy, Monday to end Louis Riel weekend
A series of several fast moving low pressure systems will continue Sunday night into Louis Riel Monday, with the final of three clippers over the last four days, or so, expected to drop the most snow, potentially 5-10cms.
St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP searching for missing female and wanted male
On the evening of February 16, 2023, the St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP received a report of a missing 28-year-old female, Breanna Lee Hudson.
The investigation has determined that Breanna left a residence in Ile Des Chenes in the early morning hours of February 16, 2023, and was picked-up by Shaquille MacFarlane, a 29-year-old male.
Police and family are very concerned for Breanna’s safety and wellbeing.
Breanna is described as 5’4” tall, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Manitoba Government celebrates ‘Joie de Vivre’ at Festival du Voyageur
The Manitoba government is helping to kick off the 54th edition of the Festival du Voyageur, the largest annual winter festival in Western Canada, with a significant funding announcement.
The province is providing nearly $325,000 to support this year’s festival, which runs February 17-26, 2023.
