I love to Read Month With Carman Elementary School

Carman Elementary was our next stop with I Love to Read Month! Daemon Parent, along with Friesens Corporation in Altona's Representative Ian McKinnon made their way to read to grade two students in Carman. Ian read the Friesens produced book, A Strange Bird: It's good to be a bit different, to the kids who loved following along with the art. Daemon read his childhood favourite book, The Hockey Sweater, which worked well with the outdoor loving, hockey fans in the combined classes. A big thank you to Carman Elementary for letting us come in and read to the kids.

Pine Ridge Elementary - I Love to Read on Valentines Day!

Pine Ridge Elementary grade two students were excited to learn they were taking home the book Angela Apperley from Friesens Corporation read to them, "A Strange Bird."  With some added excitement in the air, News Reporter Robyn Wiebe and Apperley started off Valentines Day inspiring the kids to read.

With I Love to Read month reaching the halfway point, some of the kids took time to talk about how the month was going and give an update on their progress and, of course, talk Valentines Day!
