HDHF Radiothon

The 2024 Equip to Care Radiothon is officially in the books.

Once again, The Equip to Care Radiothon's goal to help take care of the equipment needs for the Humbolt District Hospital consisted of numerous donations from generous individuals or organizations that came together in support of the HDHF for their yearly radiothon fundraiser.

After four full days of fundraising, running from March 18-21, the Equip to Care Radiothon wrapped up with a total of $153,307.00.

Thank you to all the listeners and community members for your contributions.

The 12th annual Equip to Care Radiothon wrapped up on Thursday at 5pm with a huge total thanks to the generosity of the donors who pledged to help keep exceptional health care close to home.

The equipment needs this year for the Humboldt District Health Foundation was over the one-million-dollar mark and every donation will make a difference at the Humboldt Health Complex. 

In total over the four days $139,000.00 was raised! 

The final day of the radiothon and we had a chance to chat with Tim Mackinnon who is a Spiritual Care Practitioner.

He shared what it is he does at the hospital and what his team does on a daily bases.

The final day of the Equip to Care Radiothon is on now and we had Christine Simle from Home Care join us to talk about the equipment that has been funded in the past and how it has impacted people wanting to age at home.

Shawn Halford, Lab Supervisor, joined us to chat about the lab and some upgrades in the lab.

He also shared some awesome statistics about how many tests are performed annually.

Day three of the Humboldt and District Hospital Foundation’s Equip to Care Radiothon was a major success, raising a total of $116,360. The Radiothon will continue until March 21, 2023, with donations always accepted.
