The film industry is undergoing a renaissance in the province with the unveiling of the John Hopkins Regina Soundstage. The unveiling took place at an event to honour the late Mr. Hopkins for his dedication to economic development, inclusion and reconciliation.

Missing 15-year-old boy located by Rosthern RCMP
Kord Lagasse, the missing 15-year-old boy, has been located.

Rosthern RCMP are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing 15-year-old male.
Kord Lagasse was last seen on August 18, 2022, around 4 pm at a residence on 10th street in Rosthern. He was reported missing on August 20th.
Investigators believe Kord may be attempting to travel to Medicine Hat, Alberta. Kord may have been seen hitchhiking on Highway #11 on August 20, 2022.

An additional plane of Ukrainian refugees arrived in Regina last week with another 200 new Saskatchewan residents on board. The city of Regina has housing and supports available for the arrivals, but the goal is to have families establish residence in communities throughout the province.

Province shows continued job growth
The Saskatchewan Government says Statistics Canada numbers, indicating an addition of 24,000 jobs, demonstrates the province’s comparative strength when it comes to job growth. The increase amounted to 4.4 per cent compared to July 2021, the third highest increase among the provinces. It notes all of the growth was in full-time jobs.
