Humboldt Broncos Club donates to Broncos Memorial Committee

The Humboldt Broncos Jr. A Hockey Club has made a donation of $275,000 to the Humboldt Broncos Memorial Committee to go toward the Broncos Tribute Campaign. The cheque presentation came on April 12.

Trevor Panczak lets loose for a country tour de force in Watrous

With a voice clear and inspiring as the southern Alberta foothills that are his home, Trevor Panczak and a crew of amazingly talented musicians blew into Watrous for a sold out show on Saturday night. Panczak’s easy going and mirthful manner had the crowd in the Watrous Civic Centre captivated throughout the two hour show.

$92.4 million to First Nation and Métis Communities through record-setting gaming payments

The Saskatchewan Government says that the 2023 - 24 provincial budget sees continued investment in First Nation and Métis communities across Saskatchewan. 

The budget set out targeted investments to support First Nations and Métis services and initiatives, including what the Government calls a record-setting $92.4 million in gaming payments.

No new name for Humboldt Co-op

There will be no name change for the Humboldt Co-operative. That decision came down by vote of its members who attended the Humboldt Co-op’s Annual General Meeting on Tuesday night at the Legion Hall. 

Humboldt Co-operative Ltd. operates food, fuel and agriculture outlets in Humboldt, Lanigan and Drake. The Board of the Humboldt Co-op had proposed a name change to Keystone Co-operative for its operation. Humboldt Co-op General Manager Joe Von Doellen explained it was an attempt to be more inclusive for members and staff from centres outside of Humboldt

$100,000 instant win in Humboldt

Phyllis Willenborg scratched her way to a $100,000 prize thanks to the CROSSWORD ticket in the SUPER SCRATCH PACK she picked up on March 14.
