It is with heavy hearts, we share the news of the peaceful passing of Sherry Lynn Armstrong, aged 54, of Dollard, SK, on December 5, 2023, in Shaunavon, SK.
Sherry was born May 12, 1969, at Shaunavon Hospital and grew up in Dollard, SK, her parents, Raymond and Toni Goulet, alongside her brothers, Vincent and Darrel Goulet. Her childhood was adorned with family vacations to Disneyland, Vancouver Expo, and numerous trucking expeditions with her father. Completing her education in Shaunavon, Sherry pursued her passion for early childhood development at Medicine Hat College, earning her degree.
On May 18, 1991, Sherry married her devoted husband of 32 years, Scot Armstrong, in Eastend, SK. They later settled in Dollard, SK, where they welcomed their daughters, Lindy Ray on September 23, 1992, and Danika Lee on October 14, 1996. Sherry worked over 25 years of her life to the Shaunavon Hospital and Care Centre, making many lifelong friendships.
Known for her creativity and nurturing spirit, Sherry took pride in creating beauty around her, tending to her home, showcasing her green thumb through gardening. Her love for camping, shared with family and friends through the years, brought her joy. In her recent years, Sherry embraced the role of grandmother, eagerly sharing precious moments and stories with anyone willing to listen.
Through much heartbreak of life's trials and health challenges, Sherry displayed immense strength, we find solace knowing she's free from pain.
Sherry is survived by her devoted husband, Scot Armstrong; her daughters Lindy Wickstrom (Ethan), and Danika Armstrong (Daniel); grandchildren Sterling & Nyx Giasson, and Sutton Wickstrom; her parents, Ray and Toni Goulet; brothers Vince and Darrel Goulet; along with numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and her beloved dog, Jagger.
Sherry was predeceased by her father and mother-in-law John and Hazel Armstrong; grandparents: Wilma and Gordon Krause, Russel Stephenson, Victor & Cecile Goulet; and sister-in-law Jennifer Goulet.
A memorial for Sherry’s family and close friends will be arranged at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sask Mental Health or Southwest Chronic Disease Support would be appreciated.
