HORATCHKA
It is with deep sadness that the family of Mervin Horatchka aged 61 years of Moose Jaw, SK, announces his sudden passing on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023. Mervin was born March 18th, 1962 in Roblin, Manitoba. Mervin worked for CAE for 32 years, however his favourite titles were Dad and Grandpa. He made sure the ones closest to him were always taken care of and felt loved everyday. Merv was the life of the party and always wanted to make people laugh. He loved hosting and received joy in others happiness. His greatest pleasure was to travel, especially to Disney.
He was predeceased by his father, Jim Horatchka and mother, Vera Horatchka. Mervin will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sons, Adam (Cassandra) and Matthew; daughter, Krista (Jason); his four greatest joys, his grandchildren: Samuel, Emmett, Abigail, and Hudson; sisters: Evelyn (Gary) McRoberts, Darlene (Don) Ibey, Jane (Tim) Bibe, and Joyce (Ervin) Slone; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 16th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery.
