Cochrane reporting four active cases of COVID-19

Due to technical issues, there was not a numbers update on Friday or throughout the weekend.

However, since Thursday the province is reporting 209 new cases after performing 4,500 tests which translates into a positivity rate of .87 per cent.

The breakdown is as follows:

• Thursday saw 64 new cases
• Friday 33 new cases
• Saturday and Sunday both reported 31 new cases
• There are currently 179 people with COVID-19 in the hospital and 39 patients in ICU.
• There are 1,261 total active cases in the province.
• Rocky View County is accounting for 15 of those cases while Cochrane is reporting four active cases.
• Vaccinations continue to rise with 71.7 per cent of the population now having received their first dose of the vaccine while 38.6 per cent of Albertans are now fully vaccinated.
