The Mustard Seed in Red Deer will be serving a traditional Christmas dinner for those experiencing homelessness or poverty. Those who need support, are missing family, and those who don’t want to be alone during the holidays are also welcome to attend.
“Our Christmas dinner means so much for our shelter guests and community members, their holidays are not as joyful as those who have homes and families to celebrate with. For some, it’s the toughest time of the year. This is why our staff give their 110% during this dinner to show them that they are loved, they are cared for and they are supported.” says Dwayne Kraushar, Shelter Manager at The Mustard Seed in Red Deer.
The Christmas dinner will be happening on Christmas Day (December 25, 2023) at 5PM. It will take place at the Mustard Seed. The organization is also welcoming donations for the event. To donate, click here.
