Just before 2:00 pm, Thursday afternoon, Lacombe Fire Department were called to a structure fire at The Corner Laundry Mat (4910, 51 Avenue) in Downtown Lacombe.
Three units responded to the call. Although there were no flames visible from outside the business, there was smoke coming from the building. Firefighters were wearing masks as they entered.
At this time there are no reports of injuries or the extent of damage. The cause of fire is also unknown at this time.
An update will be given once more information is provided.
