Alberta adds another 233 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, July 29

On the heels of the announcement that Alberta is altering the response plan to COVID-19, another 233 new cases of the virus have been reported. 

There are now 1,520 active cases in the province and the positivity rate is at 2.38 per cent. 

There are 89 people in the hospital with 20 in ICU.

Fortunately, no new deaths have been reported and the total in the province remains at 2,325. 

To date, 75.7 per cent of the Albertans 12 years of age and older have received one shot of vaccine and 64.6 per cent of the province are now fully immunized. 

Cochrane's active COVID-19 case count has risen to 14 and Rocky View County is reporting 13 cases.
