Canada's Farm Show held its official launch on Thursday.

The event presented by Viterra runs June 18th to 20th in Regina.

Over the years it has become a key event on the calendar, attracting farmers, industry reps, farm equipment dealers and manufacturers, visitors from around the province, the prairies and internationally.

The show has become a staple for many producers allowing them to do side-by-side comparisons with all of the latest farm equipment and technology on site in one location.

Acting President and CEO of REAL District Roberta Engel says this year's focus is on AgTech.

"Ag Tech is where traditional farming meets technology and we really are focusing on spotlighting some of the latest advancements."

Canada's Farm Show features the return of the Cultivator 24-Hour Start-Up AgTech - the event brings together the best and brightest in agriculture, technology, and business to pitch ideas, form teams, and build a minimum viable product in just 24 hours.

The Global AgTech Summit connects farmers, founders, and funders during a one-day session, featuring industry guests and experts sharing insights into ag tech and innovation.

Returning this year is the Premier's Breakfast where Premier Scott Moe will deliver his 'State of Agriculture in Saskatchewan' address.

Other highlights include the 2024 Innovation Awards and the Launch Pad where Degelman Industries will be launching their Heavy Duty Staggered Ripper on the first day of the show.

Engel says agriculture is at the heart of our province and is integral to REAL.

"In 1884 we started with a fair that brought together 150 community-minded individuals to exchange goods, information, and experiences. This year marks 140 years, for REAL, and CFS is an evolution of that first fair. It highlights all that makes our community strong- innovation, education, and collaboration, and we look forward to welcoming you all in June."
