Alberta records 1,407 new COVID-19 cases over three days

The three-day tally from Friday to Sunday for new COVID-19 cases comes to 1,407.

There were 392 cases on Friday, August 13.

Saturday, August 14 saw 451 cases.

Sunday, August 15 added another 564 new cases.

There are now 5,354 active cases in the province.

There are 161 people in the hospital an increase of nine since Friday. ICU admissions increased by six since Friday to 43.

Sadly, another death has been reported bringing the total in the province to 2,333.

To date, 76.8 per cent of Albertans have now received one dose of the COVID vaccine while 67.9 per cent of the population is now fully immunized.

Cochrane is currently reporting 32 active cases while Rocky View County is now sitting with 47 active cases of COVID-19.
