There were 831 new COVID-19 cases reported in the past 24 hours and 591 or 71.12 per cent of those cases occurred in unvaccinated people.

Eighty-seven or 10.47 per cent of the new cases are in partially vaccinated people and 153 or 18.41 per cent of the cases are in fully vaccinated people. 

There are now 6,367 active cases in Alberta and 4,670 or 73.35 per cent are in unvaccinated people. There are 750 cases affecting partially vaccinated people and 947 cases are affecting fully vaccinated residents. 

There are 14 more people in hospital with COVID-19 for a total of 198. Of that number, 161 or 81.31 per cent are unvaccinated while 11 or 5.56 per cent are partially vaccinated and there are 26 people in the hospital who are fully vaccinated. 

Sadly, another four deaths were reported for a total of 2,342 in the province. 

Cochrane added one more case for a total of 42 and Rocky View County is holding at 48. 

Vaccination rates are not rising at the pace of new cases with 77.1 per cent of people now partially vaccinated and 68.3 per cent are completely immunized.
