9:16 pm Wednesday, June 26th, Environment Canada issued a rainfall warning for the Rocky Mountain House and Nordegg areas.
Heavy rain will fall tonight and Thursday, with total amounts of 50 to 80 mm.
Areas north of Highway 11 will see rain begin this evening and continue through Thursday. Areas near and south of Highway 11 will see the heavy rain begin Thursday afternoon and continue through the day.
The rain will taper off Friday morning.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
