The City of Red Deer is advising motorists of multiple traffic disruptions this week.  

Drivers are reminded to slow down when approaching or driving in construction areas and obey all signs. 

 

Road closures for catch basin repairs   

Motorists are advised of road closures for catch basin repairs.   

  • Today (July 2) from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., Gilbert Crescent north of Glendale Boulevard   

  • Tomorrow (July 3) from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., Galbraith Street between Taylor Drive and Gray Drive  

  • On July 4 from 7 a.m., until July 5 at 7 p.m., Galbraith Street east of Taylor Drive   

  • On July 9 from 7 a.m., until July 11 at 7 p.m., Gray Drive west of 59 Avenue   

Detours will be in place. Drivers are asked to plan an alternate route during the closures.   

  

Mitchell Avenue and Munro Crescent Intersection   

Motorists are advised of an upcoming road closure as crews replace a water main.  

Tomorrow (July 3) from 6 a.m. to Friday, July 19 at 5 p.m., at the Mitchell Avenue and Munro Crescent Intersection.   

Detours will be available via Maxwell Avenue and McIntosh Avenue.  

  

Maxwell Avenue from 39 Street to Martin Close  

On July 4 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., Maxwell Avenue will be closed from 39 Street to Martin Close.   

A detour will be available via Metcalf Avenue.  

  

63 Street and Riverview Avenue   

On July 8 from 6 a.m. until July 12 at 6 p.m., the intersection of 63 Street and Riverview Avenue will be closed as crews repair infrastructure.   

Drivers should expect delays or find an alternate route.
