The Seattle Kraken announced a pair of hirings to their coaching staff on Wednesday. 

Leroy’s Bob Woods and Jessica Campbell have been named assistant coaches for the Kraken. 

Woods previously spent the last seven seasons in Minnesota as an assistant coach with the Wild, before he was let go by the team in November. Prior to his time with the Wild, Woods spent time in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Washington Capitals (2009-12), the Anaheim Ducks (2012-14), and the Buffalo Sabres (2016). The 56-year-old was also the head coach for the Saskatoon Blades in the Western Hockey League for a pair of seasons (2014-16). He also spent time coaching in the ECHL and American Hockey League (AHL).  

Campbell (Rocanville,SK), will become the first female coach behind an NHL bench. She has spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach with the Coachella Valley Firebirds in the AHL where she worked alongside the new head coach for the Kraken, Dan Bylsma. Campbell was also an assistant coach for Germany at the 2022 IIHF Men's World Championship.
