Red Deer RCMP investigate collision involving impaired driver

This morning (July 4) the Red Deer RCMP were on the scene of a serious collision on Gaetz avenue and 37 Street.

Through a police investigation it was revealed that the driver involved in the collision was impaired by alcohol.

As a result, a 35-year-old male was arrested for impaired operation over the legal limit causing bodily harm.

The individual was subsequently released on an appearance notice.

Charges are currently pending. 

An update is expected.
