LAWRENCE

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ann Patricia Lawrence, who passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 30th, 2024, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, at the age of 69 years.  Ann was born on October 28th, 1954, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  Ann grew up in large family, which instilled values of hard work and resilience, along with a generous and compassionate spirit.  Ann’s life was marked by her kindness, strength, and profound love for her family and friends.  She was a strong and independent woman, and an active participant in the fight for equality, helping pave the way for women and the LGBTQ community.  She had a wonderful sense of humour and loved to spend time laughing with family and friends.  Ann had a deep love for art, drama, fishing, travel and animals. 

She was predeceased by her father, Tom; mother, Margret; brothers: Tom, Paul, Bobby, and Kirby; sisters, Cathy and Susan; and brother-in-law, Bud.  Ann is survived by her partner, Penelope Pearson, as well as many other loving family members and friends.  Ann’s legacy will live on through the many lives she impacted.  Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. 

Ann honoured her life, with a Living Funeral on March 2nd, 2024.  This was a unique and special occasion to celebrate her life. 

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Rininsland and all the nurses and care aides with home care and the palliative team, for their care and kindness. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s name may be made to Running Wild Rescue, 290 9th Ave NW, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 4H2.
