Pop-up spray parks are back to help Central Albertans cool off this summer.

Today (July 9) the Town of Ponoka is offering a pop-up spray park from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Lucas Heights Park.

The pop-up spray park is expected to offset the demand at the Lions Centennial splash park.

Tomorrow (July 10), the Lacombe Fire Department is inviting residents and visitors to cool off with a pop-up spray park from 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., at the field east of city hall.

Spray parks are also popping up across the City of Red Deer this summer.

Red Deer Emergency Services, Community Peace Officers, and RCMP will be making temporary spray parks in neighbourhoods throughout the city, every Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Pop-up spray parks will run in the following locations:

  • July 11 - Ecole Oriole Park School - Oriole Park (5 Oldbury St)

  • July 18 - Fairview School - Riverside Meadows (5901 55 St)

  • July 25 - Dawson Park - Deer Park (140 Davison Dr)

  • Aug. 1 - St. Elizabeth Seton School – Anders (35 Addinell Ave)

  • Aug. 8 - Kentwood Disc Golf Park – Kentwood (168 Kendrew Dr)

  • Aug. 15 - Joseph Welsh School Park – Eastview (4401 37 Ave)

  • Aug. 22 - Father Henri Voisin School Park - Clearview Ridge (60 Clearview Dr)

 Events are weather dependent.
