SaskEnergy will be conducting controlled natural gas flaring at the TransGas block valve site, which is located within the RM of Spalding and west of Highway #6 and near the Village of Spalding.

Flaring will take place between 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday July 16.

Residents and drivers in the area may see a 40-foot flame being emitted from the flare stack temporarily attached to SaskEnergy’s infrastructure.

The flaring is necessary to perform maintenance work on the natural gas line system in the area and supports delivery of natural gas to SaskEnergy’s customers.

The area around the flares will be supervised to ensure public safety. Residential natural gas service in the area will not be affected
