Fire crews are on the scene of multiple grass fires between Lacombe and Red Deer.
One of the fires was just north of Blackfalds, next to Township Road 400. That fire looked like it was under control with Blackfalds Fire Department on scene.
Another larger fire was along Highway 2a, between Blackfalds and Red Deer near Range Road 272.
Both fires were adjacent to the railway tracks with speculation that sparks from a train may have caused the fires.
An update is expected when more information is available.
