The East Central AAA 18U Red Sox dominated the Saskatoon Cubs last night, earning themselves a 9-2 win.

Dallen Rude led the way at the plate for the Red Sox with a pair of home runs and three RBIs.
It was a quick start for the Red Sox opening up with a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning. After extending the lead to 5-0 in the 5th, the Cubs responded with a pair of runs in the top of the 6th, the Red Sox put the game away in the bottom of the inning with four runs to make the final 9-2. 

Dayne Schommer earned the win on the mound, He allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings and issued five walks with one strikeout. Cade Armstrong, Cade Britz, Graydn Wilson and Pryor Dyck all had two hits for the Red Sox.

With the win over the first place Cubs, the Red Sox improved their record to 19-11 and are 2.5 games back of the Cubs and Regina White Sox for first place.


The Red Sox will welcome in the Regina Wolfpack for a doubleheader on Sunday to wrap up the regular season.
