Chris Warkentin returns for sixth term as MP for Grande Prairie-Mackenzie

Grande Prairie-Mackenzie, MP Chris Warkentin will continue to serve the people of the Peace Country for a sixth term following the results in last night's federal election.

There were five other candidates vying for the leadership position. Out of 51,194 valid votes, Warkentin came out on top with 35,094 votes, or 68% with 237 of 239 polls reporting.

Warkentin is thrilled to have another opportunity to represent Grande Prairie-Mackenzie in the House of Commons.

In a recent Facebook post he thanked the good people of the Peace Country for their continued support and said, "I'm honoured to serve you!"
