It was a strong showing for the Weyburn Beavers at the WCBL All-Star game in Okotoks on Saturday.

The Beavers had five representatives on the East Division squad. Niko Kekatos, Ian Heck, Ryan Muizelaar, Halen Otte, and Owen McConnell were all dressed in the game, with four of the players making an appearance.

Heck would get the start on the mound for the East Division and pitched for one inning. He faced five batters, giving up one run on one hit while striking out one and walking another. Heck would then hit a triple in the top of the 9th inning, driving in a run.

Muizelaar finished the game with one hit in two plate appearances, and Kekatos would end up getting walked in his lone appearance at the plate. Otte finished the game hitless, with a flyout in his lone appearance at the plate.

The Beavers will now get set for a doubleheader on the road Monday night, and then have a three-game homestand with Okotoks and Medicine Hat coming to town.
