Street performers from across the world are visiting Red Deer this weekend for the city’s CentreFest Street Performer Festival.

This year’s event will not only feature street performers, but a market, food trucks, and more.

The festival will be taking place in Downtown Red Deer on Ross Street and Little Gaetz Avenue between noon and 6 p.m.

From 7 a.m. on Saturday (July 27) to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday (July 28), 50 (Ross) Street will be closed between 49 Avenue to 51 Avenue.

50 Avenue (Little Gaetz Avenue) from 49 Street to 51 Street will also be closed.

Motorists and pedestrians are asked to obey all signs, follow detour signage, and use caution while in the area.

Entry into the festival is by donation. Street performers earn their living by passing the hat. When you enjoy a performance, let them know with toonies and bills. Change will be available at the Change Exchange tent on site.

Watch for Ryker in the Sunny Summer Cruiser, who will have prizes to give away.
