Alberta Day of Caring for Jasper raises over $2.9 million

Over the long weekend, Albertans continued to show support for the victims of the Jasper wildfire.  

It was revealed today (Aug. 6) that donations jumped to $973,158 across the province.  

With matching grants from the federal and provincial governments, the new total was bumped up to $2,919,474.  

Bottle depots across the province also continued to collect donations over the weekend.  

The Delburne Bottle Depot collected $2,930.55 and added an extra 10 per cent increasing the total to $3,223.61.
