Last night, Chris Beaudry was named the Saskatchewan Party's candidate in the Kelvington-Wadena riding for the upcoming provincial election.
He defeated one other candidate in a contested nomination.
Beaudry was an assistant coach with the Humboldt Broncos until the tragic accident in 2018. He has since engaged in public speaking and advocacy across North America focusing on mental health, trauma and grief. He helped establish the first online mental health course for students through the Sun West School Division and has worked with the Canadian Mental Health Association.
He has served on multiple boards including Prairie North Co-operative, the Living Dying Project, and the Rose Valley SCC.
Beaudry and his wife Richelle reside on his family farm near St. Front with their three daughters.
The Sask. Party now has nominated 56 candidates for the upcoming election.
