The Village of Alix will be a busy place this weekend as Alix Days and the Alix Central Alberta Rodeo Association (C.A.R.A.) Pro Rodeo will be happening.

The Alix & District Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Alix Days Parade 2024 on Saturday, August 17.

Before the parade, enjoy all you can eat at the Pancake Breakfast from 8am to 10 am at the Fire Hall, right across the street from the Alix MAC School grounds. All proceeds go to support the volunteer firefighters and first response team.

Parade participants will line up at the school grounds at 9 am, to be ready for judging at 9:30. Parade begins at 10 am.

There will be a Mainstreet Stroll with your chance to stamp your passport for prizes. The Prize draw will be at the Resource Centre at 3:30 p.m.

At the beach there will be family fun and games running from noon to 4 p.m. This includes bouncy castles, carnival games, a kids' treasure hunt and a puppy kissing booth.

Also on this weekend is the 9th Annual Alix C.A.R.A Rodeo. 

The rodeo kicks off Friday night at 5 p.m. with a cabaret to follow.

Saturday, starting at noon is slack, followed by the rodeo at 4 p.m. There will be a cabaret to follow.

There is free camping and food trucks on site both days.

Tickets are available at the gate and cost $10 for the rodeo, $5 for the Cabaret, kids under ten get in for free.
