The Humboldt Broncos have added a veteran presence in their crease.
Today, the green and gold announced the signing of 2004-born goaltender Edouard Gauthier.
Last season, the Blainville, QC product spent time with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada of the QMJHL, registering a 7-12-2 record with a 3.67 G.A.A. and a .885 SV%.
Gauthier was selected by the Victoriaville Tigers in the 2020 QMJHL Draft (121st overall).
In a team release, Broncos Head Coach and General Manager Brayden Klimosko said, “Obviously there’s a big hole to fill with (Ben) Motew not returning this season. Edouard has a great deal of experience having played in the QMJHL and we feel he will be an excellent replacement. He’s an athletic goalie that has decent size and we’re excited to have him as a Bronco for the upcoming season.”
