A 31-year-old Cochrane jet skier faces four charges after colliding with a paddleboard and fleeing the scene.
In the earlier evening of Sept. 7, Cochrane RCMP responded to a report of a collision between a jet ski and paddleboard at Ghost Lake that resulted in injuries to a man on the paddleboard. The female youth accompanying him on the board was unscathed.
RCMP report the suspect fled the scene but was identified by witnesses to the collision and arrested.
Cochrane resident Bradley Edward Baxandall, 31, has been charged with refusing to comply with alcohol demand, accident resulting in bodily harm, failing to stop after accident resulting in bodily harm, dangerous operation of a vessel causing bodily harm, and common nuisance – causing injury
He was released after a judicial interim hearing and is scheduled to appear on Sept. 24 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Cochrane.
