The Swift Current Broncos finished off the WHL pre-season with a home-and-home set with the Moose Jaw Warriors on the weekend.

On Friday at Innovationplex, the Broncos went fast out of the gate and rolled to an 8-2 victory over the defending WHL champions. Ty Coupland scored twice and added an assist while Connor Gabriel and Brady Birnie had a goal and two assists each.

Parker Rondeau, Dawson Gerwing, Van Eger and Sawyer Dingman also scored for the Broncos and Joey Rocha made 27 saves in the victory.

The Warriors rebounded for a 4-2 win in the Friendly City on Saturday with Gabriel and Coupland scoring for the Broncos. Rocha and Matthew Kieper combined for 29 saves in the Swift Current net.

The Broncos will open the regular season on Friday night when they host the Saskatoon Blades.
