The Swift Current 14U Southwest Sports Excellence Steelers scored their first win of the season in Moose Jaw on Saturday.
Jax Brown scored an eight-yard rushing touchdown and threw for a 45-yard touchdown to Liam Holliday to lift Swift Current past the Moose Jaw Mafia 14-6.
The Steelers won the turnover battle 5-0 with Emmerson Werk, Josh Woods, and Talon Moen forcing fumbles, Colter Telke registering an interception, and Liam Jacobson recovering a punt.
Local Sports Live on Country 94.1 will carry the next Steelers contest this Saturday at 1 p.m. when they host the Weyburn Falcons.
