A tornado warning has been issued for the R.M. Wiska Creek this evening by Environment and Climate Change Canada.

The warning, issued at 6:04 p.m. for Vanguard, Neville, and Pambrun area, is due to a severe weather thunderstorm that's passing through the region.

According to meteorologists, the system is capable of producing a tornado, strong winds, large hail, and intense rainfall.

Residents of this area are encouraged by Environment and Climate Change Canada to head indoors and take shelter.

"Go to the lowest floor, away from outside walls and windows, such as a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet. Leave mobile homes, vehicles, tents, trailers and other temporary or free-standing shelter, and move to a strong building if you can," their alert said.
