Local racing enthusiasts, southwest residents, and families can enjoy a fun final weekend of stock car racing coming up this weekend in Swift Current.

The Swift Current Stock Car Racing Association will host the event at the Kinetic Exhbition Park's dirt track beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Friday and at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Terry Fehr, vice president of the Swift Current Stock Car Racing Association, is looking forward to wrapping up another great season with fast cars and fun for the whole family.

"This weekend is our final race weekend of the season and it's also our final stop of the PDRA Tour for Swift Current, so we're expecting a lot of out-of-town cars to show up," he shared. "We don't start up again until the spring."

This weekend's races will feature the modifieds, minis, streets, and hobbies, and admission is $10 per person.

"On Saturday we'll usually end up having a fun day," said Fehr. "After the races are over we'll just let the cars go out and play, so sometimes there'll be grudge races and sometimes it's just putting different people in cars and letting them go out and have some fun."

Additionally, he noted that the Swift Current Stock Car Racing Association will be holding a wind up and more information about it can be found on their Facebook page.

"We hope to see a lot of people out there and we'd like to thank the community for all of their support this year," Fehr concluded.
