The Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires picked up another pre-season victory with a 4-1 win over the Battlefords Stars at Innovationplex on Tuesday night.
Keegan Nash opened the scoring on the power play 14:55 into the first period and then Jace Egland made it 2-0 with 2:59 left in the opening frame.
Kaden Sperle put the Battlefords on the board 36 seconds into the second period before Wesley Olson answered with a power-play marker in the final minute of the period, and Egland wrapped up the scoring with his second power play goal of the game at 14:16 of the third period.
Jake Hargrave and Hunter Wilm both pitched in with a couple of helpers and Cade Mitchell and Evan Hutcheson combined for 32 saves.
The Legionnaires continue the pre-season in Moose Jaw on Friday before hosting the Warriors in their final exhibition game on Sunday at 6:30 from Innovationplex. The regular season opens on September 28 when the Legionnaires visit Moose Jaw.
