Three local athletes have signed with the University of Calgary Dinos to continue playing football.
The athletes include two from George McDougall High School, Kohen Bohnet and Seth Horwood, and one from W.H. Croxford, Soren Layton.
Bohnet is quarterback for the Mustangs while Horwood is fullback and linebacker. On Croxford, Layton is a receiver and defensive back.
"We are excited for Soren, he has been a 3-year starter for us and one of our core players. I am thrilled to see him sign with a quality program like U of C," explained Croxford Head Coach, Josiah Donahue.
Mustangs Head Coach Chris Glass is also excited about what the future holds for his two players.
"Kohen is not only one of the best players In George McDougall's history but also one of the best leaders we have ever had. He is going to be a huge asset to the Dino’s offence", Glass explained. "Seth Horwood is the iron man of our team. He has played both ways for three seasons and locks down his positions. The Dinos have a future CFL player on their hands."
