SCCHS' Ardens soccer team hosted their home tournament this past weekend at Irwin Field, buckling down despite the weekend's heavy winds.
The Ardens faced off against Regina Cambell on Friday where Rory Williams scored the only goal, capturing a 1 - 0 win for the Swift Current team.
On Saturday morning, the Ardens took on the Weyburn Eagles, resulting in a 6-0 win with goals scored by Naimy Regier, Lauren Hanson, Navy Louma, Dani Meyer, Mckenna Striker, and Rowan Robinson.
Swift Current's victorious trend continued into the afternoon with goals from Louma, Hanson, and Striker to secure a 4-0 win over Prince Albert St. Mary.
Dale Perry, Ardens' soccer coach, noted that unfortunately the weather was less than ideal and the players had to face strong winds.
"It was good," said Perry. "I talked to all the teams and they enjoyed the weekend and said they'd be back next year."
The Ardens will next head to Weyburn for the 5A Regionals on October 18 and 19 where they'll need to place top two out of the four teams in order to advance to provincials.
